CM: showcase State at Happy Cities Summit

‘CHI should be the core of all cities’

Expressing the confidence that Amaravati will figure among the five best cities in the world and become an international benchmark for Citizen Happy Index (CHI), Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed the AP Capital Region Development Authority (AP CRDA) to make the prestigious Happy Cities Summit Amaravati - 2018 being organised from April 10 to 12 a grand success and showcase Andhra Pradesh’s strength to the world.

According to an official release, Mr. Naidu told the officials that Amaravati was being planned as a city with CHI as the core concept. He wanted every city and town to provide high-quality life for citizens. “It is in view of this the government is conducting the Happy Cities Summit to discuss and adopt urban solutions and innovations, particularly those relevant for new and emerging cities centred around the principle of happiness,” he said.

The Chief Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to bring global practices to Amaravati, and the summit would be a platform for showcasing cutting-edge urban innovations that could be embedded in the 21st century cities.

Venue

A host of foreign dignitaries are being invited to the event being held at C.K. Convention Centre near the DGP office at Tadepalli.
