CM leaves for S. Korea

Contrary to speculation, he didn’t meet Union Ministers

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and his team left for South Korea on Sunday. The team boarded a Korea flight from New Delhi in the evening.

There was a talk that Mr. Naidu would meet Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Union Water Resources Minister Nitin Gadkari and others in Delhi to discuss the Polavaram project and other issues. The Chief Minister, however, did not meet any of them.

When contacted, Government Advisor Parakala Prabhakar said no meetings were lined up with the Ministers on Sunday.

The speculation that the Chief Minister would meet the Ministers gained credence with Mr. Naidu asserting that he would meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, if required, to discuss the Polavaram project.

The Chief Minister’s schedule begins at 5.45 a.m. with a meeting with Indian Ambassador Vikram Doraiswamy. Later, the team would meet representatives of Kia Motors ancillary companies. Mr. Naidu would meet Dasan Network Chairman MinWoo Nam at 6.50 a.m.

Key objective

Later, he will meet Jusung Engineering Co Ltd. CEO Hwang Chul-Joo at 7 a.m. The Chief Minister would also meet CEOs of IriTech and Lotte Corporation.

The key objective of the visit is signing of two MoUs with Kia Motors ancillaries, visit to KIA Motors headquarters. Two major roadshows will also be organised in South Korea apart from a visit to Pusan Newport Company (Busan), Nok-san National Industrial Complex (Busan) and Myeongji Free Economic Zone.

Industries Minister Amarnath Reddy, Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, Mr. Prabhakar, Principal Secretary to CM Sai Prasad, Secretary (Industries) Solomon Arokia Raj, CEO of Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board Jasthi Krishna Kishore, CEO of Real Time Governance and VC & MD APIIC Babu A, and Special Representative to Government (Industrial & Infrastructure Development Department) Preetam Reddy are part of the team.
