Sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Saturday conducted raids on the properties of Crime Investigation Department (CID) DSP Yeddula Harinath Reddy for amassing wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The teams raided the properties of the DSP in Kurnool, Kadapa, and Anantapur districts in Andhra Pradesh, and in Bangaluru city, and identified movable and immovable properties.
Though the ACB officials did not reveal the value of the seized assets, as per a rough estimate, their market value could be around ₹25 crore.

Mr. Harinath Reddy started his stint as SI in Kurnool district in 1989. On promotion as Circle Inspector, he worked in Kurnool and Kadapa districts. After being elevated to the rank of DSP, Mr. Harinath Reddy worked in the Railways in the Guntakal division and as Sub-Divisional Police Officer of Palamaner in Chittoor district and Nandyal in Kurnool district.
During the searches, two multi-storeyed buildings were found in Kurnool and Kadapa districts registered in the name of the DSP and his wife Suguna. He owned agriculture lands in Kadiri, Daburuvaripalli, and Kakkupalli villages. He had house sites in Anantapur and Bengaluru, said ACB Director-General R.P. Thakur.
The lands and sites were registered in the name of Mr. Harinath Reddy’s son, father, mother, brother-in-law, and other family members.

Cash, vehicles seized
The officers seized ₹8 lakh in cash, a car, and a two-wheeler.
“The DSP has been taken into custody and will be produced in court,” Mr. Thakur said.
