Central teams to visit cyclone-hit areas on Nov. 24, 25

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday said Central teams will visit cyclone-affected districts on November 24 and 25 to assess the damage based on the enumeration done by the State government.

The Chief Minister, who returned here after midnight from Singapore, held a review meeting with officials of power, agriculture, irrigation, municipal administration and panchayat raj departments, and instructed them to complete enumeration and be ready with reports for presenting to Central teams on the damage to crops, properties, poultry, marine industry and other infrastructure as also the amount spent on relief and restoration works.

He also wanted the officials to prepare a report on the amount disbursed for crop insurance and enhanced relief provided to the victims. The Chief Minister also asked them to prepare estimates for taking up permanent housing facilities in the affected areas. Chief Secretary I.Y. R. Krishna Rao and other senior officials were present.
