Former Revenue Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao was on Wednesday questioned by officials of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), in connection with the allotment of land to the Lepakshi Knowledge Hub in Anantapur district.
Following a CBI notice that was served on the former Minister on Tuesday evening, he came visited the CBI’s camp office at the Dilkusha Guesthouse this morning. Till around 4 p.m, the premier investigation agency personnel were still grilling Mr. Rao. It is expected that the session would continue till the evening.
Earlier, the former Minister who also held the R&B portfolio was questioned twice in the past 18 months. While the agency has filed five chargesheets in the case, naming Jaganmohan Reddy as prime accused, Mr. Rao’s name figures as accused no. 5 in one chargesheet pertaining to allocation of lands to the Vodarevu & Nizampatnam Ports & Industrial Corridor (VANPIC).
