A delegation of the Israeli Embassy, led by First Secretary and Political Affairs Advisor Adva Vilchinski, met AP-Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) Special Commissioner V. Rama Manohara Rao and other officials at the CRDA office here on Wednesday. Addressing the participants, Ms. Vilchinski said her country was keen on extending cooperation in the planning and implementation of the proposed non-motorised transport system and water conservation projects in Amaravati, and lauded the Andhra Pradesh government for pooling land on a massive scale for construction of the capital city.

Mr. Manohara Rao said the government’s endeavour was to transform Amaravati into a $35-million economic power house over the coming three and a half decades and plans were drawn up to realise that vision. The construction of the Interim Government Complex at Velagapudi signalled the beginning of the new chapter in the State’s history, he said and added that the Singapore consortium comprising Ascendas-Singbridge and Sembcorp were on the job of developing the start-up area.
