Transport Minister Sidda Raghava Rao, Education Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao along with district Ministers Palle Raghunatha Reddy and Paritala Sunitha visited the Victoria general hospital and National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS) in Bangalore on Thursday to ensure that adequate medical care was being given to the severely injured passengers of the ill-fated bus which met with an accident near Penukonda on Wednesday.

A total of over 20 people injured in the mishap were being treated in various hospitals at Bangalore, primarily for injuries to the brain. Fifteen people are being treated at NIMHANS alone. The ministers who met the injured and their relatives at the various hospitals promised them all medical care that would be needed and that the entire expense for the same would be borne by the State government.

Hindupur TDP MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna visited the Hindupur government general hospital where he met each of the over forty patients being treated at the hospital and disbursed fruits and other basic necessities.
