The BJP MLAs expressed their resolve to follow up on the assurances that were given by the Central government to A.P. at the time of bifurcation, in an interaction with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in the Assembly on Thursday.

BJP floor leader P. Vishnu Kumar Raju said his party MLAs considered it their responsibility to see that the people’s hopes are not dashed.

He told the media that the BJP leaders from the State would go to Delhi and meet their top brass and officials of the Central government and try to impress on them the need to speed up sanction of funds and extend the promised hand-holding to the State.

Earlier, Mr. Naidu suggested to BJP MLAs to contribute their mite to get the promises made to Andhra Pradesh fulfilled while asserting that he was for amicable settlement of disputes with Telangana and was looking for a congenial atmosphere to achieve the State’s due.
