BJP asks govt. to form 25 districts in A.P.

Party workers have to take active part in government administration as the BJP is a partner in the TDP government: Haribabu, BJP MP

Bharatiya Janata Party state president and Visakhapatnam MP K. Haribabu asked Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to form 12 more districts taking Parliamentary Constituencies into consideration.

Addressing East Godavari district BJP workers meeting at Kshatriya Kalyana Mandapam in Amalapuram on Monday, he said that it was necessary for administrative convenience and also in view of big districts like twin Godavari districts, Guntur, Anantapur and Chittoor.

Mr. Haribabu advised his party workers to take active part in government administration as the BJP was a partner in the TDP government. He said that BJP workers had the right to give direction to the State government in running the administration as well as bring local issues to the notice of the officials with the support of local TDP public representatives.

Two issues

The MP said that the BJP government at the Centre was committed to take up two important issues concerning public of Konaseema area. The Buckingham canal, for instance can be utilised as main waterway between Kakinada and Chennai connecting different ports. Mr. Haribabu said that Union Minister Mr. Venkaiah Naidu had already represented the issue along with local MPs to Surface Transport Minister.

On Kotipalli-Narsapur Railway line, he said that the long pending issue would be settled and completed within five years and the Narendra Modi government was committed to fulfil its election promises.

YSR Congress leader and Konaseema Farmers’ Union leader Yalla Dorababu and Congress leader, advocate Kudipudi Suryanarayana joined BJP in presence of Mr. Haribabu and State Endowments Minister P. Manikyala Rao. BJP national committee member Somu Veerraju, district president Suryanarayana Raju and Rajahmundry city MLA Dr. Akula Satyanaryana also participated in this programme.
