Tribal Welfare Minister Nakka Ananda Babu on Saturday held review meeting with ITDA and Tribal Welfare Departments here and asked them to be on their toes during the winter season as the seasonal diseases will be on the rise.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that additional medical camps should be conducted in all villages in Agency and steps should be taken to control malaria. He asked officials to closely monitor programmes like NTR health services, Chandranna mobile medical services in hamlets which are inaccessible by road. He said that Rubella and Measles vaccines should be administered by ANMs in all villages and Mission Indradhanush should be effectively implemented.
The Minister assured that government will release funds for protected drinking water, sanitation and implementation of RWS schemes in all the habitations in all the 11 mandals in Agency. He said that plans should be prepared to link all internal roads in Agency and they should be linked to NREGS. He asked the housing department to complete houses for tribal persons in all villages being taken up under the NTR Housing Scheme.

Mr. Ananda Babu asked the agriculture department to concentrate on cashew, mango and sweet lemon farming and take steps to extend the areas. He reviewed implementation of Chandranna Bima, self-help groups’ progress, Anna Amrutha Hastam schemes.
