The India Aviation 2012 commencing here on March 14 will feature the display of an Airbus ACJ 318, the corporate jet version of the A318 airliner, making it the first of its kind bizjets of Airbus to be exhibited in the country.

The air show has drawn the attention of business visitors, thanks to the maiden landing of the much-awaited Boeing Dreamliner and the Sukhoi Superjet 100 and the Airbus' business jet will add further interest to the show.

The bizjet, according to the company, is similar in size, externally to traditional large jets, but the cabin will be twice as wide, delivering a new league of comfort, space and freedom of movement.

Featuring lounge-like main cabin, the jet would have another room that could be used as an office by day and bedroom with ensuite bathroom at night. “Corporate jets like ACJ 318 are primarily business tools, but are also an extension of home and office for executives who want to take into air what they have on the ground,” Airbus CEO (customers) John Leahy said.

With the widest and tallest cabin of any bizjet, existing or planned, the business jet was best placed to deliver work and lifestyle benefit, he said.
