Two persons were killed when the auto-rickshaw in which they were travelling met with an accident at Timmapuram village in Yedlapadu mandal on Chilakaluripet-Guntur highway on Thursday morning.
Police said the auto-rickshaw driver and a farmer, who were killed, hailed from Darsi mandal in Prakasam district.
The mishap took place when the duo were heading to a chilli yard in Guntur.

Police are investigating, if any vehicle had hit the auto-rickshaw from behind, leading to the accident.
The deceased were identified as, Nakkavarapu Venkateswarlu (22) and Mekala Siva Kumar (48).
