The judicial remand of Kadapa MP Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy and other accused in the high profile cases handled by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) was on Monday extended till August 12 by the trial court.

On the other hand, former Ministers Dharmana Prasada Rao and P. Sabitha Indra Reddy, IAS officers L.V. Subrahmanyam, B.P. Acharya and Manmohan Singh and Ramky chairman A. Ayodhya Rami Reddy appeared in court to mark their attendance in Jagan’s case.

Apart from Jagan, others whose remand was extended by court by video conference included former Minister Gali Janardhan Reddy, ex-Minister Mopidevi Venkataramana Rao, industrialist Nimmagadda Prasad and ex-bureaucrat K.V. Brahmananda Reddy.

Jagan’s mother Vijayamma met her son, along with YSR Congress leaders M.V. Mysoora Reddy, Y.V. Subba Reddy and S. Ramakrishna Reddy, in the jail for nearly two hours.

The meeting assumed significance on the eve of developments on separate Telangana in New Delhi and former MLA Konda Surekha revolting against Jagan.
