APNGOs to donate 15 days’ arrears for new capital

Reaffirming their commitment and support in building a world class capital, Andhra Pradesh Non-Gazetted Officers (APNGOs) Association has announced to donate as much as Rs. 150 crore to the AP New Capital Development Fund.

Interacting with the media, on the sidelines of a poster release function in a programme - 'Role of Employees in construction of a new Andhra Pradesh', aimed at felicitating Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu over various welfare schemes announced to employees, here on Friday, APNGOs president P. Ashok Babu said they would donate their arrears for 15 days amounting to nearly Rs.150 crore to Rs. 160 crore, for development of the new capital.

Mr. Ashok Babu further said they (NGOs) would be ready to shift to the new capital region, in a phased manner, once all the basic facilities would fall into place. Asked about the ‘special status’ for Andhra Pradesh, Mr. Ashok Babu said the State and Central governments would work hand in hand for getting the same.
