APNGOs to convene all-party meeting on Dec. 20

The APNGOs Association will convene an all-party meeting here on December 20 to chalk out a strategy in support of Samaikhyandhra.

Association president P. Ashok Babu said that they had invited political representatives of Congress, Telugu Desam, Left parties, MIM, Lok Satta for the all-party meeting.

They could not meet YSR Congress president as he was not available, he told reporters here on Tuesday.

Mr. Ashok Babu said now that the bifurcation bill was introduced in the legislature, political leaders supporting united State would have to play a greater role as ultimately they were answerable to the people. It was time for them to prove their commitment to the cause of united AP and meet people’s aspirations.

“As employees, our role is limited now but employees and people will extend their full support to the legislators against the Centre’s unilateral decision to divide the State,”he said. Mr. Ashok Babu said that the APNGOs and other employees associations would continue their movement along with political leaders. Welcoming the debate in the Assembly and the Council, he said if there was no debate, how the members could express their opinion as directed by the President.

As the present session would sit for only two more days, the APNGOS and other employees associations will organise ‘Chalo Assembly’ against bifurcation during the special session when serious debate on Telangana Bill would take place, he said.
