A.P. team visits world’s largest man-made port

A team, led by Excise and B.C. Welfare Minister K. Ravindra, on Sunday visited Port of Jabel Ali in Dubai to study the technological and operational techniques of the port. Mr. Ravindra inquired about the facilities available at the port of Jabel Ali, the world’s largest man-made harbour and the biggest, reportedly busiest port in the Middle East.

He shared the plans of the Andhra Pradesh government to develop a deep sea port in Machilipatnam with the experts of the port of Jabel Ali. Mr. Ravindra also discussed various issues such ass ship building and other marine trade operations with the experts of the Dubai-based Ali & Sons Engineering company.

According to an official release, Mr. Ravindra has invited the experts of the Ali and Sons to visit the proposed site for development of the deep sea port.

China visit

On the other hand, the Andhra Pradesh government is reportedly sending a team of higher officials including Machilipatnam Area Development Authority (MADA) Vice-Chairman G. Chandrudu to China to study the metropolitan cities and other infrastructure facilities in the towns in China.
