Airman missing at Suryalanka beach

A non commissioned air man has been missing since Wednesday morning in the sea off the Air Force Station at Suryalanka near Bapatla town, in Guntur.

The local Air Force base is tight-lipped about the incident. Local police say that the man who has been missing was identified as Ashish, aged 24 years.

The man was part of a Air Force camp at Suryalanka and came to the beach along with his friends, police said.

Patrolling teams from Air Force and local marine police are conducting search operations in the sea, but the whereabouts the man, who is now feared drowned are not yet known.
