Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has urged students to emerge as leaders in their respective fields and make it big to serve society.
Addressing them at the 4th edition of ‘Gnanabheri’ at Yogi Vemana University on Tuesday, Mr. Naidu advised the students to extensively use science and technology to improve their learning skills.
“Put your best foot forward and make a determined effort to go up the career ladder,” he said.

Explaining how Mahatma Gandhi, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and NTR made it big in their lives in spite of hailing from a humble background, Mr. Naidu recalled his own “humble beginning” as a student leader in college.
The Chief Minister also raised issues of contemporary political relevance such as the Centre’s alleged indifference towards the State, his role in developing Hyderabad into a world-class city, the river water linkage project and his renewed commitment to developing ‘smart districts’.
Lauding the present generation for its high intellectual quotient, Mr. Naidu laid emphasis on the need to channelise its strength towards achieving the common goal of national prosperity.

He made a specific appeal to the students to evince keen interest in serving their motherland, after making it big in personal career.
He also announced financial support from the State for innovative thoughts that could make a difference in the lives of people.
Stone laid
Earlier, accompanied by Ministers Ganta Srinivasa Rao, S. Chandramohan Reddy and Ch. Adinarayana Reddy, Collector Ch. Hari Kiran and university Vice-Chancellor A. Ramachandra Reddy, Mr. Naidu unveiled the plaques to mark the laying of stone for various facilities and visited stalls having scientific exhibits.
The projects launched included seven works worth ₹45.59 crore pertaining to the university, ₹22.91 crore for three polytechnics, ₹8.80 crore for ITI at Vemula and minority junior college at Proddatur, and ₹21.17 crore for SW residential school at B. Matham.
