Guduri Ramesh and S. Khadeer, APSRTC employees from Telangana region, on Sunday received a rare honour from the most unexpected quarters in Bhimavaram.
The integrationists agitating for a unified State offered bouquets and garlanded the duo, driver and conductor of a bus belonging to Sattupalli Depot in Khammam district, as a mark of novel protest against the separate State moves.
The regional ill-feeling and animosity which cropped up between the people of Telangana and Seemandhra regions ever since the decision on State bifurcation gave way to bonhomie and fraternity as the integrationists hugged them after the honour.

Speaking on the occasion, the integrationists appealed to the government to let the people of both the regions enjoy the warmth of unity and fraternity forever by allowing them to live together.
Teachers played Kabadi at Prakasam Chowk in Bhimavaram on Sunday under the aegis of Teachers’ JAC as part of the Samaikhyandhra agitation.
The protesters formed human chain at Akiveedu and resorted to road blockade on the national highway-5 near Penumantra.

The filling stations were flooded with vehicle owners for refuelling across the district a day ahead of closure of filling stations in support of the Samaikhyandhra movement.
