Tiwari seeks opinion on YSR ministers’ continuance

Andhra Pradesh Governor N D Tiwari has sought opinion on the legal and constitutional position with regard to continuation of the ministers of the erstwhile Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy Cabinet under the interim Chief Minister K. Rosaiah.

The Governor has written a letter to Chief Secretary P Ramakanth Reddy in the wake of a request made by Mr. Rosaiah seeking continuation of the ministers.

“The Governor has written a letter to the Chief Secretary on the issue. The Chief Secretary is in consultation with the Advocate General. Both the CS and the AG will examine the issue and the AG’s word will be communicated to the Governor,” the Chief Minister told reporters.

Earlier, he held a meeting with the Chief Secretary, Director General of Police S.S.P. Yadav and other senior officials.
