The Singapore government entities involved in preparing the Master Plan for Andhra Pradesh capital region would submit a macro plan of action to the State government on Thursday, according to Andhra Pradesh Municipal Administration Minister P.Narayana.
Mr. Narayana, who accompanied a Singapore delegation on an aerial survey of the capital region in Krishna and Guntur districts, told reporters here on Wednesday that the team would later undertake a village-to-village on-ground survey, take inputs from various departments and submit a micro-level action in about six weeks.
Asked if the aerial survey was opted fearing protests from farmers if the delegation was taken by road, the Minister said the aim was to provide them a macro view of the capital region. How would they able to see all the water bodies, hills and villages had they been taken by road, he asked.

He claimed that they were quite impressed by the beauty of the place, especially Bhavani Islands.
Mr. Narayana said the Bill on Capital Region Development Authority would be adopted in the winter session of the Assembly beginning on December 18. He said certain changes in the draft bill would be approved at the next Cabinet meeting. He said government-to-government MoU between Singapore and Andhra Pradesh was only for designing of the capital city and region.
The Singapore delegation would interact here on Thursday with revenue and urban development department officials from Krishna and Guntur districts. They would also meet here officials from police, tourism, power and transport departments before giving the macro action plan.

The Minister maintained that the package announced under the land pooling policy was quite liberal as the Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu wants the capital to be ‘farmers capital’.
