Chief Minister K. Rosaiah has assured that his government would extend necessary help for the growth of the Telugu film industry in Hyderabad.
Releasing ‘Chitrabharathi', a publication containing 70 articles on film personalities and various aspects of the Indian film industry, written by veteran cine-journalist Vasiraju Prakasam; the Chief Minister recalled that successive governments had extended support for the establishment and growth of the cine industry here. The same would continue in future too.
He lauded the efforts of Mr.Prakasam in bringing out the compilation.

Rajya Sabha member T. Subbirami Reddy, to whom the book was dedicated by the author, complimented Mr. Prakasam for writing about films made in 14 languages as also on different personalities, technicians and other aspects of the Indian cinema. He described it as an ‘excellent book'.
Mr. Reddy also praised Mr. Rosaiah for touring the length and breadth of the State to know the problems of people and steering AP towards the number one position in the country.

Gnanpeeth awardee C. Narayana Reddy, who presided over the function, said the book was a select compilation from the 750-odd weekly articles published in the daily Vaartha .
Because of his own association with the film industry, Mr. Reddy said that he first turned to the last page of the daily every Sunday to read ‘Chitrabharathi' column.
