Akkiraju Haragopal alias Ramakrishna or RK is one of the most popular leaders in the Maoist circles and is among the top five on the police list in the Left Wing Extremist affected States.
A well-educated man and a committed revolutionary, RK was thrice lucky since January 2015, when security forces almost got him.
The first was on January 5, 2015, when he escaped an exchange of fire in Bejingi forest in AOB region. The second was in Injari in Narayanpatna area of AOB on June 20, 2015, when the security forces almost encircled him, but he escaped under the cover of darkness and fire cover given by his protection team.

And the closest shave was on October 24 at Ramgarh when he was reportedly hit on the right leg, but still gave the slip to the security forces. He was treated by the AOB medical team comprising Ashok alias Gangaiah, Janaki, Kranthi and Sindhu at Dakerpader village in AOB.
It is learnt that he is back into business and is believed to be lending support to the new AOB leader Gajarla Ravi.
