: Police detected a plot to murder a Telugu Desam Party leader Mahanandi Reddy, belonging to Chinnamalkapuram in Dhone mandal by nabbing three youths near the Chinnamalkapuram railway station in Kurnool district on Monday.
Lethal weapons seized
Police kept vigil on a tip-off and apprehended the trio who were moving about suspiciously and seized three country-made bombs and lethal weapons from them, according to Dhone DSP Baba Fakruddin.

Two motorcycles belonging to the arrested persons were also seized.
Mahanandi Reddy was an accused in a murder case.
Further details would be revealed after investigation, the DSP told the media in Dhone.
