Notification will be issued to fill 10,000 vacancies soon: Yanamala

‘Posts in the Police Department will be filled simultaneously’

Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu on Saturday said the State government gave approval to fill 20,000 vacancies in various government departments, of which 10,000 would be filled in the first phase.

“The APPSC will issue notifications soon to fill the vacancies in Group-I and Group-II services. Similarly, vacancies in the Police Department will be filled simultaneously,” he said addressing a public meeting organised as part of the ‘Nava Nirmana Deeksha’ at Sri Venkateswara Anam Kala Kendram here.

Mr. Ramakrishnudu said the the new housing policy had been finalised, under which the State government would allocate Rs. 2.25 lakh per unit to the beneficiaries towards the cost of construction, instead of hiring contractors and paying them Rs. 2.75 lakh per unit. “Despite having a deficit budget, we are not compromising on implementing welfare schemes. As the burden of debts has been increasing manifold, it is time the Union government reacted swiftly and allocated funds to the State,” he said.

Home Minister N. Chinarajappa said the government was keen on completing the Polavaram irrigation project as per the schedule and providing irrigation to the Godavari and Krishna deltas.

Mayor Pantam Rajani Seshasai, MLA G. Buchaiah Chowdary, Municipal Commissioner V. Vijaya Rama Raju and others were present.
