Modern court building inaugurated at Srikalahasti

High Court judge Justice C. Praveen Kumar formally inaugurating the court buildings at Srikalahasti on Sunday.

High Court judge Justice C. Praveen Kumar, who is the portfolio judge for Chittoor district, formally inaugurated the newly-constructed court building in Srikalahasti town on Sunday.

Accompanied by Principal District Judge (Chittoor) Ch. Kanakadurga Rao, Principal Senior Civil Judge G. Ramagopal, junior civil judge G. Hari, additional junior civil judge P. Chaitanya and several members of the fraternity, he went around the building complex and announced that the modern facilities were part of providing speedy justice to the litigant public.

As part of the ‘Vanam Manam’ programme, the judges planted 100 saplings all over the court complex. Minister for Environment and Forest Bojjala Gopalakrishna Reddy, who is also the local legislator, took part as a guest, while Srikalahastheeswara Devasthanam Chairman P. Guravaiah Naidu, Executive Officer J. Bramaramba and Municipal Commissioner Chandraiah were present. After pulling down the old dilapidated building, the new court complex in the six-acre compound was built at an estimated outlay of Rs.4.7 crore by the Roads and Buildings Department. The three-storey building is said to be the best in the district, as it boasts of several facilities including restrooms for senior citizens, separate waiting halls for women, lift etc.
