A man killed his father in a fit of rage late on Sunday after the latter did not concede to his demand for mortgaging his land at Brahmanapalli village of Piduguralla mandal in Guntur district.
Police said that Kunchem China Venkaiah, 52, has been making a livelihood as a farmer tilling his one acre land. His son, Kunchem Venkateswarlu, has been pestering his father to mortgage his land so that he can get a loan of Rs.1 lakh. But his father refused to budge and on Sunday night, his son allegedly stabbed him to death.
The man even attacked his siblings and relatives when they tried to stop him.
