Leopard attacks boy on Tirumala footpath

A boy was injured after he was attacked by a leopard while he was trekking up the hill along with his family from the Srivari Mettu footpath from Chandragiri on Monday night. Subhas (12) was going with a 20-member group, including his family members. The family hailed from Gudiyattam in Vellore district of Tamil Nadu. The incident took place when the boys trailed behind the group. The children raised an alarm after the leopard pounced on them. The members of the pilgrim party rushed to the spot only to find the terrified boy lying on the steps. The boy was rushed to Aswini Hospital where he was given treatment.
