Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and his wife Bhuvaneswari gave ‘harati’ to the Godavari, marking the end of the 12-day ‘Godavari antya pushkaralu’ on the banks of the river on Thursday.

After a meeting with party workers, the Chief Minister went to the Endowments guesthouse and, along with his wife, left for the Pushkara Ghat, where they were received by Home Minister N. Chinarajappa, Endowments Minister P. Manikyala Rao, MP M. Muralimohan, and Mayor P. Rajani Sesha Sai.

Dressed in traditional silk clothes, the Chief Minister and his wife performed ‘puja’. Later, the couple, along with the Ministers, participated in the ‘harati’ programme. ‘Nava Vidha Harati’ was given to the Godavari.
