Financial services firm to help students in govt. schools

UAE Exchange and Financial Services, a brand in money transfer, currency exchange and payment solutions services, has announced that it will select two students each in five Government schools from Class V to X across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and provide them with financial assistance of Rs. 1,000 each.

At a press conference here on Monday, the company’s Regional Manager T. Srinivas Reddy said that nation-wide, the company was divided into 10 zones. Thus, a total of 600 students across India would be identified, based on their academic excellence, including their attendance and given the assistance by the end of the academic year 2016-17, he said.

The company’s Zone here has jurisdiction across AP and Telangana, he said. From Tuesday, they would start contacting Principals of Government schools and communicate the UAE Exchange corporate social responsibility programme. The selection would ultimately rest on the Principals of the schools, Mr. Reddy said.
