P. GANNAVARAM (East Godavari): Four persons of a family were killed when their car fell into an agricultural canal near Nagullanka village of P. Gannavaram mandal on Saturday.
According to the police, the deceased have been identified as Gandham Gopikrishna (55), his mother Saraswati (75) and two sisters Subbalakshmi (48) and Ammaji (45). They were on their way to Razole. The accident happened when Gopikrishna lost control of the vehicle and it fell into an agricultural canal. Residents of Nagullanka immediately jumped into the canal but they could not open the glasses or windows of the car which was almost half sunk in the water.
The bodies of all the four have been recovered from the canal.
