March 30, 2015 12:00 am | Updated November 17, 2021 05:48 am IST - BENGALURU:

The Bharatiya Janata Party’s national office-bearers meeting and executive scheduled to be held in Bengaluru from April 2 to 4 is aimed at strengthening the party organisation in Karnataka and other southern States.

“This executive is a strategic one as we want to use the occasion to strengthen our network in all southern States,” said a senior party leader. The BJP wants to expand its base mainly through development works, which will be followed by organisational strengthening activities. There is a possibility of the national executive discussing broader outlines of a development plan for south, he said. This is the fifth national executive of the BJP in Bengaluru, the earlier ones being held in 1986, 1993, 1999, and 2008.
