The Chandrababu Naidu govt was prepared to give power to Telangana if it stopped power generation at Srisailam, Deputy Chief Minister N. Chinna Rajappa said.

The Andhra Pradesh Government has no qualms about discussing the Srisailam water issue with Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, Deputy Chief Minister N. Chinna Rajappa asserted.

The Chandrababu Naidu Government was prepared to give power to Telangana if it stopped power generation at Srisailam, Mr. Chinna Rajappa told newsmen at Proddatur on Saturday. Faulting Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhara Rao’s adamant stand on the Srisailam water issue, he accused KCR of politicising the matter.

Telangana was in the grip of a power crisis due to KCR’s shortsighted approach, he remarked. In contrast, Mr. Naidu paid attention to the power demand and supply and overcame the problem, he claimed.
