A 40-year-old woman was attacked with acid by a man in Garlapadu village, near Maddipadu in Prakasam District in the wee hours of Wednesday.
The woman was sleeping on a cot in-front of her house when the man, Dhanaiah, threw acid at her following ''some differences'' with her, Maddipadu sub-inspector M.Devakumar said.
The woman with serious burn injuries was rushed to the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) here. On a complaint from the woman, the police launched a search for the 40-year-old man hailing from Kothur village, near Ballikurava.

“The man is said to be having a live-in relationship with her,” the SI said.
