Three final year students of V.R. Siddhartha Engineering College drowned in Krishna River in Kankipadu mandal in the district on Tuesday. Another student Nagulmeera, who was at the spot survived.
The victims have been identified as – Bhukya Lal Babu Naik (21) of Tadigadapa, Jonnalagadda Rajesh (21) of Nidamanuru and Vemuri Srikanth (20), native of Kandukur of Prakasam district.
On receiving information, the police rushed to the spot. All the three bodies were retrieved and they were shifted to government hospital for post-mortem.
