Police on Friday took two persons into custody in connection with the suspicious death of two children in Kosigi. Sarala and Goverdhan, aged three years, died after consuming poisoned drink, which was served by one Giddaiah.
It was suspected that the offender gave the drink to a local priest named Ramesh Achari, but he offered it to his grandchildren. Police took into custody Giddaiah and another person identified as Brahmaiah Achari who wanted to settle a score with the priest.
