13 militia members surrender

ASP of Paderu A. Babujee producing 13 surrendered Maoist Militia members before the media at Paderu on Wednesday.

In all 13 Maoist militia members surrendered before Paderu Assistant Superintendent of Police A. Babujee at Paderu in the agency area of Visakhapatnam District on Wednesday.

All the 13 were from G. Madugula area and played a major role in giving logistic and moral support to the banned CPI (Maoist) members in the Killamkota and Maddigaruvu areas of G. Madugula mandal.

It may be recalled that the Visakhapatnam Rural Police arrested four militia members on Sunday from the same mandal. The militia members were involved in a number of activities such as arson at Anjanaadri ashram and snatching ballot papers in the recent past.
