At least 12 persons were killed and 15 others injured when a DCM van crashed into two jeeps at Nasarlapalli gate in Chintapalli mandal on Thursday night. The DCM was going from Hyderabad towards Macherla in Guntur district. Most of the victims were coolies.
Police suspect the toll could go up. The injured persons have been shifted to Devarakonda government hospital. The accident led to a massive traffic jam on the highway.
