11 arrested for plotting murder of four persons

ýThe Anantapur Police on Saturday arrested 11 persons on charges of plotting the murder of four persons in Anantapur and Chittoor districts.

Anantapur Additional Superintendent of Police Malyadri told the media that the accused had planned to eliminate Chetla Sreeramulu, a councillor from Kadiri town and Sreeram Reddy, Puttaparthi MPP, besides O.C. Chandra of Puttaparthi and another person from Madanapalli town of Chittoor district.

Mr. Malyadri said that the accused Derangula Narayana (42), who had shifted to Kadiri from Bengaluru, had a civil dispute with Chetla Sreeramulu. He hatched a conspiracy with his friend Mude Narayana Swamy Naik (42) of Kutagula tio kill the latter.

Puttaparthi MPP Sreeram Reddy and his supporter O.C. Chandra also had a separate civil dispute with Derangula Narayana.

Besides the three, Narayana and Naik had also agreed to kill another person, who was a partner in an educational institution run by a doctor in Madanapalli of Chittoor district, at the instance of the doctor.

The two accused formed a gang comprising nine persons and took to illegal sand mining to spin quick money needed to execute the murder plans.
