Victim’s sister shifted to corporate hospital in critical state

A 10-year-old girl, Sai Sindhu Pavani, on Thursday died while undergoing treatment at the Government Hospital in Vijayawada, reportedly due to dengue.

However, doctors and Krishna District Medical and Health Officer P.V.S.N. Sastry could not establish the apparent reason for the death, stating that no medical test to determine the dengue was conducted.

“Sai Sindhu Pavani was admitted to the Government Hospital in Vijayawada for treatment of viral fever. She died while undergoing treatment on Thursday. We do not have medical reports confirming that she had been infected with dengue,” the Medical and Health Officer told

Mother ill

On being referred by the doctors at the Public Health Centre in G. Konduru, Sindhu Pavani belonging to G. Kondur mandal, was admitted to the Government Hospital on Wednesday.

On the other hand, her mother, Varalakshmi, and sister, Nandini, had been admitted to the Government Hospital in Vijayawada for treatment of viral fever.

On Thursday, Ms. Nandini had been admitted to a local corporate hospital as her condition was said to have turned critical by Thursday afternoon.
