March 30, 2014 08:33 pm | Updated November 02, 2016 11:53 pm IST - KARIMNAGAR:

Karimnagar MP Ponnam Prabhakar reiterated that he would strive to ensure execution of long-pending gas-based power plant of APGenco in Nedunuru village here.

“If there is short supply of gas, then the power plant should be converted into a thermal power station to generate at least 1,000 MW power,” he maintained.

Talking to the newsmen here on Sunday, he said despite acquiring land for the project and laying foundation stone, the project was shelved due to non-allocation of gas. However, he exuded confidence that the project would be taken up by the new government that would soon be formed in Telangana State.
