The BJP candidate filed her nomination from Amethi on Wednesday

BJP candidate Smriti Irani files her nomination papers for Lok Sabha polls in Amethi on Wednesday.

Television actress-turned politician Smriti Irani on Wednesday filed her nomination from the Amethi Lok Sabha constituency even as she took potshots at Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi calling him “incapable” of holding the Prime Minister's post.

“Even the members of his party do not consider him capable of it [PM post]. This is the reason why the Congress has not declared his name for the PM's post,” Ms Irani told reporters in Amethi. Contending that Amethi would “script history” in the 2014 elections, Ms Irani said the people of the constituency had made up their mind to vote for the BJP.

To a question, she said that “Rahul can never become the prime minister of the country.

”...Even the members of his party do not find him capable of it, this is the reason that Congress has not declared his name for the PM’s post”, she said.
