Hours after attending a Congress-dominated function for the inauguration by Manmohan Singh of the renovated Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Memorial Museum here on Tuesday, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi alleged that the Prime Minister had no time for Gujarat.

“We sought time from the PM to discuss crucial issues of Gujarat, including the Narmada Dam height, farmers’ issues and floods, but our request was denied,” he wrote in his twitter handle. “Unfortunately, the PM refused to give time to discuss Gujarat’s key issues but preferred to visit Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan, the State Congress office,” he said.

Actually, during his speech at the function, Mr. Modi also said Dr. Singh “had to visit the Rajiv Gandhi Bhavan” before arriving at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel museum.

Meanwhile, Congress general secretary Digvijaya Singh poked fun at Mr. Modi, calling him a ‘feku’ or braggart, who “tells many lies.”

Latching onto an allegory of a table fan, Mr. Singh shared a small story on Twitter to suggest that Mr. Modi only tells lies.

It reads follows:

“A Man dies. In heaven he sees a large wall full of clocks. He asks angel: What are these for? Angel answers: These are lie clocks, every person has lie clock, whenever you lie on earth, clock moves.

“The Man points towards a clock and asks: Whose clock is this? Angel says: it’s Vivekanand’s. It never moved showing that he never told a lie. The man asks: Where is Narendra Modi’s clock? Angel replies: That’s in our office. We use it as a TABLE FAN. ..!”
