Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader L.K. Advani on Friday visited the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) headquarters here and held a “good discussion” with party chief Mohan Bhagwat and general secretary Bhayyaji Joshi.

“My Nagpur Yatra will be very helpful for the BJP and Indian polity,” Mr. Advani told reporters after the meeting.

“My political commitment is for the BJP but my ideological family has always been the Sangh Parivar. If the RSS had not been there, there would have been no Jan Sangh or the BJP,” said Mr. Advani.

He said there was a constant process of dialogue of the RSS with the Jan Sangh and now with the BJP.

“I met Mr. Bhagwat in Delhi last month and had good discussion with him and then he had told the media that our dialogue will continue. Today’s (Friday) discussion will give us strength for the upcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections and we will be able to bring change in the government and take the nation in the right direction,” he added.

Senior BJP leader Murali Manohar Joshi had visited the city on Thursday and held discussions with the top RSS leadership.
