Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Yogendra Yadav on Wednesday welcomed the party’s decision to consider expanding to States other than Delhi, a policy he has been advocating for a long time.
“I am happy to know about this. I had strong faith that it [the conflict] would finally end on a positive note. Initially, the churning had some poison, but I had immense faith that finally it would conclude with amrit ,” Mr. Yadav told presspersons on the sidelines of a farmers’ event at Jantar Mantar.
On Tuesday, the AAP’s Political Affairs Committee announced that it would look at expanding the party’s footprint and ensure that its volunteers had more say in its decision-making process.

Both announcements were reportedly the result of extended discussions over the past two days with Mr. Yadav.
“I firmly believe that we would ponder over these initiatives and propound a blueprint that would ultimately serve the objectives of our party, which is the party of hope of common people of India,” Mr. Yadav said.
He and Prashant Bhushan would have a thorough discussion with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal when they met, he said. Mr. Kejriwal has indicated that he will meet both leaders next week after the vote on account on the Delhi budget.

However, he said other things were now taking place for the benefit of the party.
On Tuesday, senior AAP leaders Sanjay Singh, Ashutosh and Ashish Khetan met Anand Kumar and Ajit Jha, who were representing Mr. Bhushan and Mr. Yadav.
The two sides discussed a whole gamut of issues, including volunteer participation and electing executive bodies.
Fresh note to Kejriwal Meanwhile, Mr. Bhushan on Wednesday said he had written a fresh note to the Delhi Chief Minsiter, highlighting in greater detail the long-pending issues he had been trying to raise regarding the functioning of the party.
