Members of Trinamool Congress and Left Front on Friday clashed in the Lok Sabha over the situation in West Bengal, forcing a brief adjournment of the House.
Trouble broke when Trinamool member Sudip Bandopadhyay raised the issue of law and order situation in West Bengal during Zero Hour.
Before he could continue, CPI(M) leader Basudeb Acharia objected, questioning how an issue related to law and order of a state can be raised in the Lok Sabha.

This triggered a clash, with both Trinamool and Left members shouting slogans and accusing each other of being responsible for violence.
The slogan-shouting continued for about five minutes and sensing the mood of the members, Speaker Meira Kumar adjourned the House for 10 minutes till one PM.
Kumar repeatedly sought to know from the Trinamool members as to what they wanted from the Centre as law and order was a state subject.

It was for the fourth time that the two parties, bitter rivals in West Bengal, clashed in Parliament during the current session over the situation in the state.
