Sri Lankan Navy arrests eight Indian fishermen

Eight Tamil Nadu fishermen were arrested on Thursday by the Sri Lankan Navy on charges of crossing the International Maritime Boundary Line.

Eight Tamil Nadu fishermen were arrested on Thursday by the Sri Lankan Navy on charges of crossing the International Maritime Boundary Line.

Their two boats were also seized by the navy, Assistant Director of Fisheries Department, S.Sekhar said.

The fishermen were taken to Kangesanthurai port, he said.
