Rosaiah focuses on efficient crisis management in Andhra

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K. Rosaiah asked district collectors to ensure that the ongoing agitation over Telangana statehood does not affect public life, especially students.

“There is some unrest among people because of the agitations. Particularly, students’ education is getting badly affected. We have to ensure that the academic year does not get disturbed because of the agitations,” Rosaiah said, inaugurating the two-day conference of the district Collectors at the Jubilee Hall here today.

Stating that the state was facing a series of problems, including financial, the Chief Minister said focus should, however, be on resolving the problems through constant efforts.

“Problems and crises enable us to think creatively and sharpen our abilities to overcome them,” Rosaiah quoted Jawaharlal Nehru as saying and wanted the Collectors to focus their energies on crisis management.

He wanted the Collectors to be accessible to people at all times and closely monitor the deliver system.

“Human touch is important in dealing with people and their problems. At the same time, transparency should be ensured in all the government programmes,” the Chief Minister said.
