The bandh call given by the Telangana Students Joint Action Committee evoked a poor response from the people across the region as banks, shops and establishments and transport services remained unaffected.
While a majority of the government and private offices and educational institutions remained closed on account of the second Saturday, shops and establishments downed shutters as it was also a labour holiday. Being second Saturday and second of the three consecutive holidays, the bandh did not affect many sections of people.
There were a few incidents of stone-pelting on buses in Karimnagar, Medak and Cyberabad areas and activists staged rasta rokos at several places that culminated in burning of effigies of Justice B.N. Srikrishna Committee. In all, 533 persons were taken into preventive custody in various parts of Telangana and 13 cases registered.

Only 16 buses damaged during the bandh. The bandh was partial in the twin cities and no untoward incidents were reported . Unlike earlier bandhs, petrol bunks, theatres, eateries and shops did not close this time. MMTS services were operated except those on Secunderabad-Falaknuma route. In Hyderabad city, police arrested 125 activists at different places and more than 100 were taken into preventive custody in Cyberabad commissionerate area.
