Reacting to reports in Pakistan media that the Joint Investigation Team (JIT), which was here last week was not given proper access regarding the probe into the >Pathankot Airbase attack , a top government official said on Tuesday that they were not going to fall into the trap laid by certain elements in Pakistan.

"Let Pakistan react to the probe done by the National Investigation Agency officially, we don't want to react to media reports. There is a section in Pakistan which wants to create a web of confusion; we don't want to fall into the trap."

The official added that they had provided all the evidences required to the JIT.

"If we have given the evidence that can withstand international judicial scrutiny, then the effort should not be negated by using these gimmicks," said the official.

The official said the letter rogatory (judicial request for evidence) sent to Pakistan in the second week of March, clearly mentioned that Jaish- e-Mohammad (JeM) chief Masood Azhar, his brother Abdul Rauf Asghar and four others should be arrested.

A report in Pakistan on Tuesday said that JIT had finalised its report where it said that "Indian government did not cooperate with JIT and instead made efforts to hinder the probe done by the Pakistani team."
